Comment: Not Thomas' finest week, as he was beaten five times in five shootout attempts to lose games against Atlanta and Buffalo.
2. Ondrej Pavelec, G, Atlanta Thrashers 19.9 -0.8 -0.6 18.5
Comment: Pavelec can't be happy about the six goals he gave up to Pittsburgh, but he was brilliant with 42- and 47-save efforts in wins against Boston and Montreal.
3. Jonas Hiller, G, Anaheim Ducks 17.1 -1.3 2.1 17.9
Comment: It's hard to imagine where the Ducks would be without Hiller. They're still in the thick of the playoff race despite having been outshot by a 271 margin, second-worst in the league (only Edmonton is worse).
4. Sidney Crosby, F, Pittsburgh Penguins 15.6 1.8 -0.3 17.2
Comment: So Crosby can been stopped after all, going scoreless in his last two games. It's now a question again whether he can break Jaromir Jagr's modern record of 127 points, the highest mark of the last 15 years.
5. Steven Stamkos, F, Tampa Bay Lightning 13.9 2.4 -0.8 15.5
Comment: Swagger is back in Tampa. The Lightning are second in the conference and the acquisition of Dwayne Roloson shows that they are now buyers again. Stamkos scored eight points in the first three games after Christmas.
6. Cam Ward, G, Carolina Hurricanes 16.0 -1.2 0.5 15.2
Comment: It's a sign of the poor teams Ward has played on and his late maturation as a goaltender that his shutout this week was only the 14th in his career in 304 games. In fewer games, Ilya Bryzgalov has 18, Niklas Backstrom 20 and Tim Thomas 22.
7. Jonathan Quick, G, Los Angeles Kings 11.6 0.9 2.7 15.2
Comment: Quick and partner Jonathan Bernier were each pulled in 6-3 and 7-4 losses this week.
8. Tomas Vokoun, G, Florida Panthers 13.2 -0.5 1.1 13.8
Comment: Will Vokoun be the biggest prize at the trade deadline? He has had four excellent seasons in Florida yet has never been rewarded with even a single playoff appearance.
9. Daniel Sedin, F, Vancouver Canucks 11.3 1.3 0.3 12.8
Comment: Sedin is just one point shy of the 21 power-play points he scored last season.
10. Kris Letang, D, Pittsburgh Penguins 6.9 4.1 1.4 12.4
Comment: Only halfway through the season, Letang has already matched career highs for assists (27), points (33) and even-strength points (22). He is the main reason why the loss of Sergei Gonchar hasn't hurt the Penguins as much as predicted.
