If the Stars and Wild played all their games on the road, they just might be the Stanley Cup co-favorites.
The Stars are 13-7-1 on the road and 13-6-4 at home. They have been particularly hot away from home of late with seven straight wins and 11-2-1 mark in their last 14 games.
The Wild, meanwhile, is 11-7-3 in away games and 10-10-2 in home games.
The Stars say their success on the road is due to keeping things simple. They dump the puck into the offensive zone, shoot when they have opportunities and avoid odd-man rushes. Captain Brenden Morrow says the Stars have also created a road warrior mentality in the locker room.
