For a second year in a row, David Staples of Edmonton Journal compared projections of Oilers’ players. And for the second year in a row, the VUKOTA system created by Tom Awad of Hockey Prospectus came out on top.
According to Staples:
“On average, Awad was just 12.2 points out on his predictions for the 15 most commonly rated Oilers players. Mitchell was at 15.7, Katsaros, 16.9, the Hockey News, 17.4, Willis and The Sports Forecaster, 17.5, and Dobber Hockey, 18.3.”
